  Why Are So Many Witnesses So Weird?

  i believe that in every hall there are a number of weird jws.. we had some that were (and still are) 65 year old mama's boys.

  they never got married, weren't gay, just weird.. we had old brother stevenson that used to yell at everyone if they didn't accept a book!.

  we had our share of weird elders that were always looking into world events and saying this proves bible prophecy--when in fact, it had nothing to do with it!.

  thanks to 'gayle' for bringing our attention to the fact that the december 15th watchtower has now been uploaded to jw.org.

  it doesn't take long to reach the first juicy bit on pages 8 and 9, this time regarding higher education:.

  it would be good to ask, am i taking to heart solomons example of treasuring divine wisdom?

  Instead be like Solomon and see chopping an infant in two as a viable option to settle a custody claim. Then proceed to be lauded for your "divine wisdom".

  Does anyone know the value of NET assets owned by the Watchtower?

  i wonder how much money they have.

  I also enjoyed remember seeing someone post a Watchtower article from 1970 where the WTBS criticized the churches for getting involved in investing because it "heavily links them to the greedy business world" or something like that. Yet, much of their income is gained from investment returns. Their bullsh*t knows no bounds.

  the term armageddon (har-magedon) .

  refers to a unique war .

  i couldn't put the words back in my mouth.. that is what i said, without premeditation, to our car group on tuesday, september 11, 2001.. on that day, as an elder, i was out in fs.

  in dealing with the shock of what we saw and were listening to on the radio (like good little pioneers, we didn't stop our day, we used this as an opportunity to preach...) some of us were showing the bits of humanity that the borg hadn't completely stolen from us, myself included.. we got an unusual amount of people who talked with us that day.

  opinions as you can imagine varied.

  Does anyone know what the Watchtower's corporate ladder would be like?

  i was wondering if anyone knows how a brother would make his way up to the governing body.

  in my (worldly) opinion, there has to be something like a corporate ladder to climb.

  does anyone know what the "procedure" would be?.

  It seems that it is basically an American religion that spread. Only English speaking witnesses are allowed, it seems, to climb the corporate ladder.

  just a side note...... This is a pretty drastic change in doctrine. However, if this is true, how come this wasn't mentioned at the district conventions?(maybe I missed it?)

  Did anyone hear any mention from the platform that this "global war... is now here"?
